                   AN ORDINANCE CLOSING AND ABANDONING AN UNNAMED
                   STREET LOCATED NORTHWEST OF GUNBARREL ROAD,
                   SOUTHWEST OF SHALLOWFORD ROAD, MORE
                   PARTICULARLY DESCRIBED HEREIN.

              	   SECTION 1.  BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
         CITY OF CHATTANOOGA, TENNESSEE, That there be and is hereby 
closed
         and abandoned an unnamed street located northwest of Gunbarrel
         Road, southwest of Shallowford Road, more particularly 
described
         herein, and as shown on plat attached hereto and made a part
         hereof by reference:
        
                To find the true point of beginning of this 58.8
                foot unopened unnamed right-of-way, start on the
                northwest line of Gunbarrel Road (as originally
                dedicated) 974.7 feet southwest of the intersection
                of said northwest line of Gunbarrel Road with the
                southwest line of Shallowford Road (as originally
                dedicated), thence northwest 300 feet to the true
                point of beginning, thence continuing northwest
                58.8 feet, thence northeast 334.7 feet to the
                southwest line of a 40 foot right-of-way abandoned
                by City of Chattanooga Ordinance No. 9281, thence
                southeast 58.8 feet with said abandoned street,
                thence southwest 334.7 feet parallel to Gunbarrel
                Road to the true point of beginning.  Said street
                separates lots 1-3 and part of lot 4, block 1, from
                lots 1-3 and part of lot 4, block 2, Brookshire
                Subdivision, as shown by plat of record in plat
                book 12, page 39, ROHC.  Tax Map No. 149H-E-6, 7.1,
                and 8.
               
               
             
              	   SECTION 2.  BE IT FURTHER ORDAINED, That this 
Ordinance
         shall take effect two weeks from and after its passage as 
provided
         by law.
